The Top 6 Best Fashion Moments of the 2015 Oscars

I can’t quite seem to forget the memories of the 2015 Oscars. This glamorous award winning show was at its best again with a lot of styled up actors and nominees. And as always one thing was to remain quite vivid, the awesomeness of the breathtaking fashion that walks this grand ceremony. In 2015 it wasn’t any different and here are the top 10 celebrity fashion moments that really stole the show.

Julianne Moore – Chanel Haute Couture

Awesome, period! Julianne looked stunning in this sequin gown that had a fantastic touch of floral embroidery. Word has it that the dress knocked 1000 hours to work on and that it took up to 27 guys to complete it. Whatever the price, it was worth it. This dress simply took the number one surprise spot in my list.

Reese Witherspoon – Tom Ford Design

If there is something better that could describe sophistication at its simplest level is the one dress Reese wore to the banquet of the stars. If your jaw didn’t drop when you came face to face with this curve hugging black and white Tom Ford design then your test for fashion is simply off! At harpersbazaar they called it timeless, you know what that means.

Dakota Johnson – Saint Laurent Design

When I saw Dakota, the main starlet in the fifty shades of gray her sultry chic embellished gown swept me off my feet with its one shoulder design, and the smooth flare that it flowed with to the ground. This red dress gave her the sweet naïve look that a teen gets on her prom night. I guess it all boils down to the one thing - Saint Laurent took this day home.

Rosamund Pike – Givenchy Design

I can’t quite remember anything like it. But Pikes crimson lace Givenchy looked daring, flawless and elegant on her. You don’t quite see anything like that every day, and if the red hot heels and a smokin’ haute legs didn’t do the trick in making the dress to stand out, its sleeveless design did. Something was right on point and it matched up with that red carpet event sweetly.

Lupita Nyong’o – Calvin Klein Gown

Pearls, colored stones, and vintage ornaments don’t come easy, not even in reign costumes. Such are only associated with style, class, glamour, and beauty and Lupita adorned them all with just one gown. White, flowing to the red carpet, and featuring 6000 hand sewn pearls, Lupita’s style will down the annals of history for one of a kind Calvin Klein touch.

Naomi Watts – Armani Prive Gown

I don’t really have the words to describe Naomi’s gown on the Oscars red carpet. But let me say it was ridiculously sexy. Tiled, black and white, and with a few sensual cutouts, Naomi Watts was in my own words super cool. getting such a hott body with a stylish dress is never easy and this actress nailed it.

Fashion is ever evolving and we are yet to see much more. Looking at the many fashion oriented TV shows that we have today such as Glee, PLL, Reign, and Game of Thrones among others, I would say the renaissance fashion is the next big hit and reign clothing could be the next red carpet talk of town.

Fashion In Different Cultures

Fashion is not only a necessity; it is an important aspect of culture and it represents our personal tastes. It is one of the most interesting subjects in the world which changes at a constant speed. It is a very important component in a culture of a country and some clothes are used for more than just warmth and protection. They are almost equal with the cultures which crafted them. Through fashion, you can experience culture in certain regions and time periods in a special way. Let’s take a sneak peek at the fashions you can experience in different cultures.

Fashion In Different Cultures

Street Wear

Although street wear is not a common term, it is a trend of fashion which has had a revolutionary effect in both Japan and United States. Most Japanese like it with its attractive cartoons that reflect their local culture and the youngsters in United States have adopted it.It came up from the hip hop culture which has led to the growing demand of clothes in the urban fashion marketplace. However, it is different from hip hop wear. It is the outcome of some clothing brands such as GAP, Abercrombie Fitch and holster. There are different colors, designs of t-shirts, hats and sweatshirts, the qualities are still improving and most people are still longing to know about the latest wear in the market.

Indian Fashion

You can experience several fashions of wearin India. It is among the oldest cultures that has influenced the whole world. It is commonly known as a place of different colors and cultures with traditional wear which has gained popularity worldwide for its comfort with each state containing its own unique fashion. The Indians use colorful, bright and attractive clothes to reflect their cultures, talents and craftsmanship. They also enhance their rich traditions and their overall look by their clothing. Their designers, weavers, dyers and craftsmen practice their work as an art and some of their latest brands are Sarees, SalwarKameez, Lehengas, Kurtis.

Western Fashion

It is true that we tend to know fewer things about Western fashion and culture because there is nothing that defines their dress code. But whatever attracts and fits can be worn. They are extremely romantic and their clothes are part of most American women’s wardrobes today. They include jeans wear, t shirts, skirts, pants and shorts among others. They are stable in today’s fashion and they have made a positive impact in fashion industry for both men and women. For instance, button-down shirts are classic looking clothes that are designed forall men, women, and children. Princess seams, floral prints give women softer and feminine feelings. Classic peasant tops are sexy tops used by women who desire for the most romantic tops with pretty skirts and during special occasions.

Eastern Fashion

When it comes to Eastern fashion, it reminds us about the Chinese clothing which has gained popularity in the west. It also reminds us about its dressing codes which are determined by its religious beliefs, cultural obligations and traditions. There are several fashions of eastern cloths in the market such as the fashionable Abaya and Jilbab, Kurti and Tunic, Hijab and Scarf. There are also fashionable accessories such as jewelry, silver ornaments and gold ornaments. You can find these fashionable clothes and accessories in any store or designer line.

Hollywood Fashion

If you are engaged in arts, you can agree with me that fashion plays a crucial role. Popular actors use different fashions to capture our attention in their films. For instance, Sarah and Jennifer use different styles which are available at retail stores for the public. Marlon Brando also popularized his leather jacket, jeans and white t shirt which are still in fashion worldwide.

African Fashion

The fashion of Africa with its different cultures is vigorously flourishing with the presence of Aso-ebi fabricsthat are normally worn by family members during the wedding ceremonies or other social events. They are made from matching fabrics and are typically worn for recognition during special occasions in Africa. They are popular in many African tribes and wearing them can be the greatest experiences in big days such as wedding ceremonies and other social events.

Africa is a continent rich with diverse languages with many countries and different designs of clothes. Its fashion reflects different people, places, cultures and religions. They are made of different colors and styles to reflect different people and where they come from. For instance, in certain parts of Nigeria, red is seen as a threatening color. It is believed to keep evil away and only be worn by chiefs. In some regions, red represents achievements or success.

9 Cheap Ways to Decorate your Home

Home decoration is an expensive process. But changing some basic thing you can save money. With a bit of imagination and just a little cash, you can upgrade the look of any space in your home. Try a few of these practical ideas and give a good look to your rooms without breaking the bank.

Paint your wall
One of the cheapest, simplest ways to change the look of a room is to paint your walls. A new coat of paint gives your room an overall feeling of freshness. The colour of paint in children room should be colourful. Other rooms such as living room, bed room etc. should be white or light white paintings.
If you're not able to paint the whole room, paint less. Pick one wall and give it a coat of a contrasting colour. If it still costs much then paint your door.
Display Children's Art
Display children drawings or your do-it-yourself projects in a colourful frame, or in a white frame with a cooled mat. Hang them in an otherwise unimaginative space. They're full of spirit — and meaningful.

Keep artificial hanging flower basket and plants
Having plants in any room makes you feel more alive. Natural tree needs more care and maintenance cost. Try artificial hanging flower basket in your veranda and artificial plants in your room. It has simple yet modern appeal.

Place a rug in your living room
A small carpet or rug is a nuance that should appear in every living room. Your living room may not come with luxury sofas, but you can put a small carpet or rug under the center table. Carpet may be not important from some people but for me having carpet is like having special creativity. It’s about style. Living room carpet is what you should try.
Make floating bookshelves
Take advantage of your vertical wall. Rather than placing a big bookshelf make your own by simple hardboard or wooden rack. It will save both place and money.

Install floating shelves in your living room

Floating shelves can add a new dimension in your living room. They give a space a new look and can be like a work of art themselves! Floating shelves are great for displaying art or photography works. The shelf above has a lip support for just that purpose. This type of shelving keeps the floor of your living space free furniture, or your showcase.

Install a Mirror
A single full-body mirror has the power to make a small room visually larger. Cover the mirror by neutral curtain, and when needed open the curtain. Hanging several smaller mirrors in a group can also add lots of visual interest, while using one large mirror will instantly create the illusion of more square footage.

Well-Worked Window Treatments
To make a small living room appear more spacious, add ceiling-to-floor fabric curtain. This simple addition will automatically draw eyes up the wall for a much larger feel.

Bathroom Shelves

Narrow floating shelves at your bathroom wall are an excellent way to store bathroom essentials in a stylish way. Install few thick glasses to hold your favorite lotion, soap, shampoo, perfumeries and toiletries.
These are some cheap ways to decorate your living space. You can modify any idea with your own taste.

Top Three Fashion Tips for Women

For a woman, fashion is not just a façade to hide the blues away or a superficial way of attracting members of the opposite sex. Fashion transcends mere choices of clothing and accessories to become a source of confidence and a quick morale boost. Although the clothes you are donning do not define who you are, they speak volumes about your personality and interests. Being fashionable doesn’t necessarily equate to being expensive because with the right style and attitude, you can be quite stellar even with a tight budget. The important thing is that you know what style best matches you. If you would like to indulge your inner fashion diva, here are the top five fashion tips for women who would like to look good and feel good.
Know your body shape
It is a fact that women are not created equal. Women come in various shapes and sizes unlike what the mainstream magazines tend to portray. Even if you are not a size zero just like most of the typical ramp models, you can still make it work and look your best. Knowing your body shape is, perhaps, the most rudimentary step in achieving the perfect blend of comfort and sophistication in fashion. Some women are more pear-shaped while others are more apple-shaped. For every body shape, there is a more suitable style to emphasize your strong features while hiding away the “flaws” that you don’t want others to see. For instance,   the placement of a peplum on your clothing can spell a great fashion disaster or a dream depending on your body type.

Invest in lingerie
If you would like to feel sexy in no time after a tedious and intensely-stressful day at work, putting on perfectly-fitting lingerie will do the trick. Aside from giving you the confidence that you need to be the go-getting woman with her eyes set on the goal, a well-chosen lingerie can also take some pounds off, albeit visually. For the fashionable woman, her closet will never be complete without her a few of these items to help her exude the allure when the situation calls for it.
Get the basics and accessorize
In creating a fashionable look or a ramp-worthy ensemble, it is important that you hone your mixing-and-matching skills. Know which item goes great with what by getting the basic clothing items in your closet. Invest in a great pair of pantsuits, tops, skirts, jackets, denims, and other basics that you can pair up for a fresh look every time. Always remember that getting great quality items that can survive mere fads and trends are more preferable over the one-hit-wonders which will never see another season.
If you would like to upgrade your ensemble pronto, classy accessories can get the job done. From bold and edgy to muted and neutral, build up a collection that can add some flare to your fashion statement. Why settle for just being “okay” when you can take it to the next level. Venture into accessories and find out what difference they can make.
