9 Cheap Ways to Decorate your Home

Home decoration is an expensive process. But changing some basic thing you can save money. With a bit of imagination and just a little cash, you can upgrade the look of any space in your home. Try a few of these practical ideas and give a good look to your rooms without breaking the bank.

Paint your wall
One of the cheapest, simplest ways to change the look of a room is to paint your walls. A new coat of paint gives your room an overall feeling of freshness. The colour of paint in children room should be colourful. Other rooms such as living room, bed room etc. should be white or light white paintings.
If you're not able to paint the whole room, paint less. Pick one wall and give it a coat of a contrasting colour. If it still costs much then paint your door.
Display Children's Art
Display children drawings or your do-it-yourself projects in a colourful frame, or in a white frame with a cooled mat. Hang them in an otherwise unimaginative space. They're full of spirit — and meaningful.

Keep artificial hanging flower basket and plants
Having plants in any room makes you feel more alive. Natural tree needs more care and maintenance cost. Try artificial hanging flower basket in your veranda and artificial plants in your room. It has simple yet modern appeal.

Place a rug in your living room
A small carpet or rug is a nuance that should appear in every living room. Your living room may not come with luxury sofas, but you can put a small carpet or rug under the center table. Carpet may be not important from some people but for me having carpet is like having special creativity. It’s about style. Living room carpet is what you should try.
Make floating bookshelves
Take advantage of your vertical wall. Rather than placing a big bookshelf make your own by simple hardboard or wooden rack. It will save both place and money.

Install floating shelves in your living room

Floating shelves can add a new dimension in your living room. They give a space a new look and can be like a work of art themselves! Floating shelves are great for displaying art or photography works. The shelf above has a lip support for just that purpose. This type of shelving keeps the floor of your living space free furniture, or your showcase.

Install a Mirror
A single full-body mirror has the power to make a small room visually larger. Cover the mirror by neutral curtain, and when needed open the curtain. Hanging several smaller mirrors in a group can also add lots of visual interest, while using one large mirror will instantly create the illusion of more square footage.

Well-Worked Window Treatments
To make a small living room appear more spacious, add ceiling-to-floor fabric curtain. This simple addition will automatically draw eyes up the wall for a much larger feel.

Bathroom Shelves

Narrow floating shelves at your bathroom wall are an excellent way to store bathroom essentials in a stylish way. Install few thick glasses to hold your favorite lotion, soap, shampoo, perfumeries and toiletries.
These are some cheap ways to decorate your living space. You can modify any idea with your own taste.

Unemployment Rise Tempers Eurozone Optimism

The most recent unemployment figures that trackeurozone unemployment indicated a slight increase in September, the 29th consecutive monthly increase for the region, according to TeleTrade.

That increase, combined with a continued drop in inflation to a four-year low, has put new pressure on the European Central Bank (ECB) to speed up the region’s recovery from recession. The eurozone’s inflation rate dropped to 0.7%, its lowest point in four years and far below the ECB’s target of just under 2%.

The potent combination of growing unemployment and super-low inflation rate could presage a Japan-like deflationary spiral, some analysts warn, all of who call on the ECB to take action to eliminate this risk. Most would argue for a lower interest rate to spur lending and growth.

Unemployment for the region only rose 60,000 in September to 19.4 million, but the fact that the growth in unemployment continues each month discouraged many analysts. For comparison sake, one million more people are unemployed in 2013 than were in 2012, and four million more than in spring 2011.

The 29th straight jump raised the unemployment rate to 12.2%, the highest since the eurozone’s founding in the late 1990s. Some analysts were surprised by the September increase, given the many other pieces of good news about the eurozone economy.

Jobless rates of 4.9% in Austria and 5.2% in Germany stand in stark contrast to the sky-high rates in Spain (26.6%), and Greece (27.6%). Italy also reached a new high in September, at 12.5%, with a monstrous 40.4% rate among the under-25 set.

All eyes now turn on the ECB’s November 7 meeting, where most economists would argue the ECB should install an aggressive monetary easing to spur growth.  Other experts think the ECB will wait until early 2014 to act and possibly cut interest rates.

Why One Needs To Learn Chinese Language

Learning a second language has its advantages. A lot of people are now developing interest to learn Chinese as a second language. However, learning and teaching Chinese is not a recent development. It can be dated as far as the 16th century. Since the world is now a global village, interacting with the Chinese is not uncommon and therefore there is a need to be able to communicate with them. Again, Chinese is among the most widely spoken languages in the world. You could even learn Chinese in 5 minutes.

One of the reasons one should learn the Chinese language is to equip yourself for future opportunities. For instance, you will better your career opportunities once you learn Chinese. A certain company might be seeking to make business deals with the Chinese. They therefore need an employee who can communicate with the Chinese and convince them to seal the business deals. This then becomes your chance to build and better your career base.

So many exciting travel opportunities are offered by china. Travelling to china either for business or for pleasure becomes easier once you learn their language. You will move around the country much easily and more freely. Again, it saves you the cost of having to hire a translator to ease communication between you and the locals.

The Chinese have a rich and fascinating culture. Its thousands of years’ history gives one a reason to dig deeper to learn it. With great architecture, history, cuisine and music, there is a lot to discover about this Asian country. Those with a keen interest in learning the Chinese culture will have easier time understanding it once they learn Chinese.

Politics could also require one to learn a foreign language. If you want to improve your political career to the Asian nation, consider learning Chinese. You could be the country’s ambassador to china. Conducting the government’s foreign affairs department, specifically in china, will require you to learn Chinese.

Chinese is also a very easy language to Learn compared to European languages. You could actually learn Chinese in 5 minutes. It is that easy. Some of the factors that make it an easy language to learn are that there are no plurals, no tenses, no conjugations, no subject/ verb agreement, it has simple prepositions, numbering and counting system is also so easy.

Another reason that people learn Chinese is the interest in learning the writing system. It is quite a challenge and that is the best part. The advantage of learning this writing system is that it gives you mental stimulation which betters your intellectual ability. Once you have understood how to construct and design this writing system, it then becomes easier for you to learn new characters and new things.

Communicating with your Chinese relatives gives you a reason to learn Chinese. Intermarriages have become a common thing. You need to get to know your in- laws better and bond with them. This should be however a two way thing where they learn your language and you learn theirs. It could be a fun way to bond.

How Baby Room Décor Can Enhance Mental Growth

Having a baby is one thing, raising it is another altogether. Every parent wants the best for their child and will not let go of any opportunity that will help their child to develop skills in life. There are different approaches in ensuring the growth of a child physically, socially, emotionally, and mentally. One such way of ensuring this growth is through the use of colours to enhance baby’s vision. The first colours that a baby sees and his reaction to them provide parents with tips on creating an environment that will aid the child’s mental growth.

Babies are known to be like sponges, they absorb everything around them that is why most parents wish to take advantage of the initial stages of baby development to create an environment that is both stimulating and encouraging for positive growth. Babyroom décor is one such way that parents use to enhance positive growth in a child and there are tips to follow in order to ensure a perfect environment for baby’s development.

1. Colour Scheme
Parents are encouraged to choose a colour scheme that is both engaging and welcoming. Pink is the preferred colour for baby girls while parents with baby boys will go for blue or other solid colours that depict boldness. These colours should be mixed with other concepts like bright stripes and polka dots that will be easily noticed by the baby.

2. Take time on the ceiling
Babies spend most of their waking hours lying on their backs meaning all they ever see is the ceiling. Take time to decorate the ceiling in bright colours that the baby can see and place other objects like dangling play objects just over the crib within his sight. This will help kill the boredom of looking at a blank ceiling all the time and in the process the baby’s mind will start to notice the difference between the blank ceiling and the dangling objects before him.

3. Invest in books
Apart from the colours and toys above the crib, invest in a small library of baby books arranged neatly in a small bookshelf and definitely within the baby’s eyesight. Even though the baby won’t know them by name, his little mind will notice that there are different objects in the room. You can also begin reading stories to your baby occasionally as this helps in stimulating his senses and will also help him learn to read when he is older.

4. Play Music
Music is a good relaxant not only to adults but to babies too. Though mothers love to sing to their babies, sometimes it helps to play some soft music from a stereo or from toys that have music gadgets. This helps to catch the baby’s attention and at the same time exposing him to new things.

Safety Tips When Visiting Bali

Bali is arguably the most visited Singaporean district and has always been a great tourist attraction.Surfers especially, continue being attracted in droves due to the wide choice of surf spots and beaches plus the widely ranging waves. Therefore, you will find that the majority of tourists who arrive on the island are interested in surfing, swimming or body boarding. However, there are some perils that every visitor has to watch out against in order to get the most enjoyment out of their visit and have a pleasurable experience to write home about.

Some of the precautions I would recommend as you proceed to your Bali holiday include:

Watch Out For Red Flags

When you go out for a swim, check whether there are any flags erected on the beach. If there is no flag in sight, then that means the beach is safe.On rare occasions, you will find a flag with yellow and red markings. That is a good sign that shows the presence of trained lifeguards in the area who will watch out for any dangers and come to the assistance of anyone in trouble. However,if you see a red flag, please do not attempt to swim in the area. Some of the beaches in Bali are known for their strong waves, rip tides and dangerous undertows.

Tsunami Alerts

Almost all Bali villas, hotels, inns, and other accommodation facilities will have information translated in various languages to warn and educate visitors about tsunamis.Though they occur rarely, tsunamis are very dangerous and highly unpredictable.Bali is especially susceptible to tsunamis due to the frequent earthquakes in subduction zones that are very close to the sea shore.

Most of the beaches popular with tourists are located in low areas and this makes it very easy for them to get covered by huge destructive waves of water if a tsunami occurs. In view of this, most of the Bali villas and hotels are tsunami-ready and regularly practice evacuations. As a precaution, it is advisable that you seek accommodation that is at least two miles inland and a hundred feet above sea level.

Guard Against Sunburns

Being close to the equator,Bali receives more Ultra-Violet rays from the sun compared to the US and Europe. Therefore, your holiday supplies should include a very generous amount of high SPF (not less than 40 SPF) sunscreen to guard your skin against the harmful effects of UV rays.Remember, being a tropical region, it does not matter what time of the year you visit Bali. The UV factor varies very little from one period to another,it will always be high. You may have additional protection by investing in some UV-resistant clothes. For those with extra-sensitive skin or if you do not get high-SPF sunscreen, ensure that you do not spend too much time in the sun.

Top Tips for Surf Camp for Beginners

It is exciting attending a surf camp. You get to meet a whole lot of new people and to engage in exciting new activities at some nice beach. For a beginner, the experience can be overwhelming, especially not knowing what to expect. Here are a few tips to help beginners.

Gear and Equipment
The first thing you should have is a proper surfboard, closely followed by a comfortably fitting wetsuit or trunks. Never start with a short surfboard, only pros can handle that. A good size board for adults should be somewhere between 8ft 6in and 10ft. A loose wetsuit will be itchy and irritating and may result in you getting rushes or even bleeding. Plus it will make it harder for you to paddle or stand up. A fitting wet suit has the added advantage of keeping your body warm. Once you have picked out your surf board and wet suit, you will also require a surfboard leash and some surf wax. The surf wax is not necessary if you surfboard is built with a traction pad. You may not need to separately purchase other equipment like fins because they may come already attached to the surfboard.

Safety
The best safety tip for surfing beginners is to be prepared. Research a little about surfing, get into shape, practice on the beach outside the water, listen to you instructor, and when you finally venture into the water, choose a spot with gentle waves. One important thing, improve your swimming skills long before you start your surfing lessons. If you can get a patrolled spot, that would be best. Take care to avoid crowded spots. Most surf camps like the El Salvador Surf Camp ensure that they have patrols on the areas specially designated for beginners. Make sure you go with a friend, especially one with surfing experience.

Etiquette
For great enjoyment and safety while surfing the waves, there are a few unwritten rules that you should bear in mind. These rules include:

1. Don’t drop in: Always observe the right of way, do not drop in front of surfers who are already riding the waves.

2. No Snaking: Avoid paddling around other people looking for an opportunity to get into the inside position.

3. Show respect: You should respect your fellow surfers, especially the locals. Do not mob their favorite spots during their favorite surf hours. If those are the best spots, you could go there one or two at a time, leaving them enough space to do their thing.

4.
Paddling out: You should never paddle into others’ paths or throw your board in front.

5. Share the waves: Even though you may be the fastest in catching the next wave each time, allow others to enjoy the fun. Otherwise it will irritate them and that will be less fun all around.

There are more unwritten rules and learning them is easy. When in doubt, just use your common sense. Treat other surfers like you would treat your neighbors when sharing a street back home.

Fitness
Surfing is fun, but it requires a lot of stamina. You should be physically fit to learn fast and to have fun longer. As mentioned before, being a good swimmer is critical for your safety. Apart from swimming, you should work on your whole body to provide you the much needed stamina and support to ride the waves.

Lessons
Once you are fully prepared then you can begin your lessons in the water. Here are some of the things you will learn from your trainer.

1. Catching the waves

2. Paddling your surfboard

3. Duck diving

4. Standing on your board

5. Bottom turns

6. Cutbacks

Have Fun

The primary objective of surfing is, and should always be, enjoying yourself to the fullest. Have fun in and out of the water.

How to Choose the Best Baby Carrier for Your Child

Various baby transport techniques have been used across different cultures. Baby carriers are divided into two major types the wheeled devices and slings. The first wheeled baby carriers were referred to as prams. They were mainly designed of wood and were very light to push around. A well known garden architect Kent William coined their designed in the year 1733. From then, the prams have undergone progressive changes meant to improve their efficiency and to reduce their weight. Slings are the most favorite of all on-body baby carriers. They include backpack carriers and front carriers. They are generally used for very young children who lack the ability to seat or hold their backs up and straight. For those with young children, it is advisable that they know how to choose the best baby carrier for their children, below are the various ways on how to.

 1.  Consider The Baby’s Safety

When choosing the appropriate baby carrier for your child, it is important to consider the safety of the child. It is greatly advised that parents with very young children use baby slings. Baby sling backpacks are the most common and they allow the parent to work while carrying the baby around. However it is greatly advised not to do strenuous work when carrying the baby with a sling. This is because incase of a slight accident it is easy to harm the child when you fall on your back. As a precaution incase of an accident, modern sling designers have come up with the front slings. Front slings allow the parent to always be on the look out on whatever is happening to the child. Incase an accident happens and one falls on the front side, it is easy to protect the child from injury using the arms.

2.  Consider The Baby’s Age

It is very important to consider the baby’s age when purchasing a baby carrier. Parents with very young children are greatly advised to use slings instead of wheeled devices. This is because very young children lack the proper strength to hold their backs straight and also find it very hard to sit. Later on as the child’s age increases and their backs gain the strength to stay up straight and sit, the parent can consider purchasing other types of baby carriers.

3.  Price

Most wheeled baby carriers are expensive compared to baby slings. When purchasing a baby carrier for your child, it is important to consider the price before making the purchase. Most people rush and buy expensive baby carriers because of fashion or influence only to discover later on that the baby carrier serves them very little purpose yet they have spent a lot to buy them.

4.  Efficiency

It is greatly advocated that you try and find out the most efficient baby carrier for you. Baby carriers come with different efficiencies that make them the favorites among different classes of people in society.
For example, among the wheeled baby carriers, the tricycle is considered the most efficient among parents who like to go out jogging or walking with their babies. The baby carrier should be able to support the weight of the baby securely and comfortably for both baby and carer.

Top 7 Ankle Sprain Symptoms

Ankle sprains are common injuries suffered by people from all walks of life. There are times when the initial pain may convince you that you have fractured or dislocated a bone because the pain can be agonizingly severe. The good news is that if you know how to heal an ankle, you will be back in good form before long. However, the first thing one should know is how to identify an ankle sprain. Here is a brief description of the 7 most common symptoms of ankle sprains.

1.     Trauma

The first thing the patient will notice is the spraining itself. The foot may get twisted, and the body may exert excessive pressure on the outer side of the ankle. A sharp pain may be felt and this may be accompanied by a popping sound. The imbalance may lead to a full body fall.

2.     Pain

The most obvious and persistent symptom of all, and most annoying, is the pain. From the moment you sprain your ankle, you will feel a sharp pain that may threaten to bring tears to the eyes of even the most hardened grown man. The pain is likely to persist in varying degrees for a few days, or even weeks and months, depending on your recovery time and how you handle the injury.

3.     Swelling

Quite often, a sprained ankle will result in swelling of the ankle area. Swelling is a natural part of the body’s Inflammatory Response and helps bring in immunity cells to eliminate cellular waste and debris caused by the injury.  It also brings in immunity cells responsible for repair and rebuilding of the ankle joint.

4.     Bruises

Spraining your ankle may result in some bruising around the ankle area. This is more likely if the sprain occurred while you were moving at high speeds. You can apply pain relieving ointments that may reduce the bruising and soreness around the area. Massage works great too.

5.     Tenderness

The area around your ankle is likely to be very tender to the touch after spraining. This is due to the frayed nerves and the increased fluid flow into the ankle tissue and to the bone tissues around the ankle area.

6.     Inflammation

As soon as the sprain occurs, the body will send signals that will result in increased blood flow to the ankle. This will also bring more white blood cells that aid in quick recovery. Of course, white blood cells are also responsible for inflammation. The injured tissues may also leak other fluids into the area. To counter the negative effects of such inflammation, the patient should rest with the foot up. The ankle should be raised above the waist level. This will reduce the increased blood flow to the ankle and increase the flow of blood and other fluids from the area.

7.     Redness and Warmth

Spraining your ankle will cause an increase in blood flow to the area. This will result in redness and sharp warmth in the ankle. Some massage and positioning yourself with your feet slightly raised will gradually reduce the redness and warmth.

5 Reasons for Choosing Banner Ads

Despite increasing criticism of the relevance of banner ads and increased references to banner blindness, companies spent close to 6 Billion US $ in 2012 to advertise through banner ads. This is a sure sign that banner ads are still very effective online advertising tools that a business will disregard only at their own peril. Below, I list five very good reasons why I continue to advocate the use of online banner advertising.

1.     Effective Audience Targeting

With banner ads you can clearly reach out to a specific target audience based on their purchase histories, geographical location, demographics, or whichever other criteria you may choose. This can be done by collecting information from cookies on the user’s browser. You can also target audiences by posting your banners on sites whose publisher deals with same products or complementary products and services. For example, you can advertise your dry-cleaning services on a fashion designer’s website and as people shop for clothes they get an idea about where to get them cleaned.

2.     Versatile Presentation

Banner ads offer creativity opportunities and this makes it easy for the designer to create something that will attract a user’s eye and possibly entice them to click on your banner. And they are so easy to make. With no design experience, one can use a free banner maker to try out some great, creative ideas. Apart from the usual static image, you may use rich media such as unique texts, animations, streaming media, and slideshows. There are compression tools that help you to make great banner ads without slowing down the page’s load time.

3.     Builds Brand Recognition

Even when users do not click on your banner ad, a good banner will leave a positive impression on users’ minds. And that is what branding is all about. Banner ads are very effective in creating brand recognition and product awareness. This means that with a good campaign, a user will always end up thinking of your product first before thinking of products from competitors when they have to purchase a product or service that your company provides.

4.     Offers Flexible Pricing Structures

Traditionally, you would buy space on a billboard or magazine and post your advertisement in it for a flat fee, regardless of the outcome. Banner ads are not only a cheaper method of advertising, but they also afford the company with a flexible pricing structure where the advertiser only pays for some specific result. These results may be by the number of users who click on the banner, the number of users who provide leads by completing a survey, or the number of users who successfully complete a sale. Advertisers may also competitively bid for prime advertising space on a publisher’s website.

5.     Instant Response

If you put out a magazine advertisement, the magazine publisher or distributor may tell you the number of magazines sold. But this will not tell you how many readers saw your advert. Additionally, among those who saw your advert, some of them will like it and follow up on it, some will like it and intend to follow up but forget, while some will disregard it. But you will never know the general public reaction. Banner ads give you an interactive way to assess the impact of your advertising campaign. You can tell how many users visited the publisher’s website, how many users clicked on your banner, how many ended up being leads, and how many made purchases.

What is DIY Roofing

DIY roofing is a challenging task for most. In this process, you need to do the tasks that professionals have been doing for all of their lives. While it can be intimidating at first, it is a job that you can accomplish on your own with the help of how-to guides and the needed materials. If you are thinking of undertaking a DIY roofing Croydon job, then here are the things you need to know about this tricky yet fulfilling project.

Prepare the Area
Prior to embarking on a DIY roofing task, you need to prepare the area to make sure that is organized and clean. Identify potential problem areas in the site, such as power lines, dangerous access areas, and other hazards.
Remove the wall hangings and loose items; place tarps on plants and shrubs as well as pools and hot tubs to avoid damages. Disable the sprinklers and place your automobiles away from the project area.

Tear the roof and prepare the roof deck
This is essential to remove the old materials so you can see any problems that might lie underneath the desk.

Install protection for the roof deck
Roof deck protection is important as serves as the best foundation for your roofing Croydon project.

Install a leak barrier
Leak barriers are necessary in order to protect your roof from the elements of nature.

Install starter strip shingles
Starter strip shingles are important as they play a big role in wind resistance. They serve as the first line of defense against wind uplift on roof edges.

Nail shingles properly
Under-driven and angled nailing are some of the common causes of roofing problems such as blistering, blow-offs and premature failure. Force, angle, length, location and nail type should be taken into consideration with your DIY roofing Croydon project.

Install the shingles
Shingles should be installed properly as they can protect your roof and add aesthetic value to your home.

Install Valleys
The valleys are areas where leaks commonly occur so you need to be precise and careful in installing these parts by yourself.

Install Flashing
Water seepage usually happens in areas where surfaces intersect. To prevent this, you need to install flashing, especially for the critical areas on the roof.

Install Ridge Vents
Moist and hot air in your roof can damage the furniture and other possessions located in your attic. The amount of ventilation depends on the area so you need to go over the ventilation requirements in your area. The ridge vents need to be installed at the highest part of the roof so you need to be careful as you install these vents on the roof.

Installing Ridge Cap Shingles
Ridge caps protect the vulnerable and stressed areas of the roof. This is also installed on the highest parts of the roof so safety precautions should be taken.

Clean up the Job Site
If you have placed tarps over shrubs, plants, hot tubs or swimming pools, cleaning up the job site will be easy to do. Run the ‘drop zones’ with magnets in order to obtain the nails that might have dropped off during your DIY roofing Croydon task.

How to Find the Best Business Name for Your Business

Naming a business is like naming your firstborn child. The name needs to be perfect. You don’t want it to be cliché, overused, too normal, or too weird. The ideal name is unique, easy to remember, and expresses the essence of your business. Business naming trends may be similar across an industry. For example, childcare services exude an atmosphere of learning, compassion, and fun. Tech companies often sound a little scientific and a little futuristic. But do you want to stick with the trends or stand out? Here are five ways to find the best name for your business.

Keep Your Eyes Open

Once you begin brainstorming a name for your business, you’ll see inspiration everywhere. Snazzy words will jump out at you from signs, and catchy phrases will dance around in your head while you sleep. Keep a notebook with you or use the audio recorder on your mobile phone to keep track of every flash of genius that comes to you. Don’t be quick to reject ideas, either. Make a note of every possibility. Something that may not seem right initially may work within a different combination of words that comes to you later.

Mix and Match

Think beyond the way you’re used to speaking and writing. Juxtapose ideas and contrast words. Putting together words that normally don’t belong together can evoke a unique idea that completely represents your business. In fact, you may want to combine parts of different words. Break off a word in the middle and jam it up against a different sound. For example, Mozilla is a combination of the words mosaic and Godzilla.

Parlez-Vous Francais?

When you can’t find the perfect name in your own language, look to a foreign tongue. Maybe you want to reflect your passion with the word fire, but that’s just a little too short and boring in English. The Italian word for fire, fuoco, is exotic enough to attract attention but still sounds passionate and memorable. Better yet, invent your own language. Google wasn’t a verb before the company existed. Intentionally misspell a word and you may have the perfect business name.

Let the Music Move You

Pull up a playlist of your favorite musician’s songs. Perhaps there is a song title that resonates with your mission and company values. Maybe some memorable lyrics will inspire you to come up with a few new ideas. When you feel like you’ve come up with thousands of options and still none of them seem right, ask friends and coworkers what their favorite songs or lyrics are. They may throw your brainstorming in a new, constructive direction.

Try Using Business Naming Services

Business naming services can give you a different point of view. After throwing ideas around for so long, everything begins to sound the same. You may get stuck on a particular path that’s hard to veer away from. Business naming services can bring you angles and ideas you might never have considered.
